Maurizio Soloni
From sports president to business consultant
My story
Maurizio Soloni's passion for sport, understood in its broadest sense, is expressed in three hundred and sixty degrees and leads him to get closer again to an ancient love of his as a youth: football. It is this renewed fervor that, in the summer of 2004, pushed him to accept a new and significant challenge, assuming the presidency of the A.C. Montichiari, a club that has been playing in C/2 for years and is facing serious economic problems.
As had already happened with Leonessa, Soloni settled the accounts and allowed the continuation of the activities of the rossoblù club. With his arrival, however, we witnessed a complete renewal of the life of the A.C. Montichiari, a change that takes the club out of provincial anonymity, making it a protagonist in a context that goes far beyond the pure sporting sphere. Soloni, in fact, introduces an ambitious project to Montichiari, which began already at the time of the Leonessa, in which sporting activity, understood in the strict sense of the term, is enriched and completed with a precise and constant commitment in other fundamental areas such as training and the education of the new generations, culture, solidarity and socialization. The project aims to transform the B.C. Montichiari into a point of reference for the entire community, a place where the entire country can identify and from which to draw inspiration to build a better future. The years of hard work bear fruit: the youth sector soon becomes a source of pride for the club, and the Montichiari youth system grows rapidly, going from a few hundred members in the summer of 2004 to the remarkable figure of 800 units, a goal achieved in 2007/2008 season.
